Nazis Militants Once Again Disrupted the Withdrawal of Troops in Donbass

Against the background of the beginning of the disengagement of forces and means, Ukrainian nationalists continue to destabilise the situation in the “OUF” zone [former “Anti-terrorist operation” in Donbass – ed]. We have repeatedly announced the arrival of scattered groups of radicals in the area that seek to disrupt the peace process for the settlement of the conflict. It was noted that they threatened the UAF soldiers planned for withdrawal.

There were also cases of clashes between radicals and soldiers of the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion, which arrived in the area of Bogdanovka in order to counter the nationalists and prevent matters from escalating.

Radicals have moved from verbal and written threats to practical actions. Thus, today bandits from “Right Sector” in the area of Novognatovka fired two shots from a “Mukha” RPG-18 at an Ural vehicle coming from the disengagement site in the area of Bogdanovka.

Four soldiers were injured as a result of the shelling, and one was killed on the spot. We draw the attention of the OSCE Mission to this incident as evidence of the destabilisation of the situation by nationalists and the inability of the “OUF” command to control the situation near the area of the disengagement of the parties.
