Some comments by President Putin on Oliver Stone’s recent production “The Putin Interviews.” Initially, the Russian President didn’t think that anyone would be interested in watching something like that, but was convinced otherwise by his Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov. Similarly, he was concerned about the objectivity of the material and how it would be presented.
However, Oliver Stone has previously released a documentary on the Ukrainian conflict called “Ukraine on Fire” – which was an objective account of what truly happened. This doco is not to be confused with “Winter on Fire” that aired on Netflix, and is a warped version of the events.
President Putin states that although he fell asleep without finishing the movie, with no disrespect to the film director, he plans on doing so as it is a fairly objective depiction of the President and the country.
