MOSCOW, January 11. /TASS/. Russia is going to receive Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe twice in this year – in April and September, First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said on Wednesday at the meeting with Japan’s Economy Minister and Minister of Economic Cooperation with Russia Hiroshige Seko.

“We face a very challenging task because outcomes of the visit of the Russian President to Japan are excellent but we have to work out two visits of Japan’s Prime Minister this year – in April and September. This is very serious,” the Russian official said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin invited Shinzo Abe to visit Russia last January. “And he [Abe – TASS] already said he would visit Russia this year, and fairly earlier, in order to further speed up the mood existing in the cause of improving relations between our countries,” Seko said.

Russia and Japan have a joint plan of working in eight areas, Shuvalov said. “I must say the work of the intergovernmental commission and our bilateral relations on the whole dramatically differ in the last months from the earlier ones,” the Russian official added.
