BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful assault this morning at the eastern and western axes of Al-Rahjan, targeting the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s last positions around the town.

Led by their Qalamoun Shield forces of the 3rd Division, the Syrian Army attacked the farms surrounding the strategic town of Al-Rahjan, where they were confronted by a large number of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham militants.

According to a military source in Hama city, the Syrian Army is making their final push to capture Al-Rahjan from Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham; however, they haven’t yet entered the town today.

The source added that once Al-Rahjan is captured, the Syrian Army will shift their attention to the southeastern countryside of Idlib and nearby town of Umm Miyah, which is another jihadist stronghold.
