BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:20 P.M.) – The Turkish Armed Forces continued their strikes on the densely populated city of Al-Qamishli today, hitting this area at least a half dozen times in the past few hours.

According to a source inside the city, the Turkish Army has repeatedly struck the crowded neighborhoods of Al-Qamishli, causing significant damage to buildings and several casualties in the process.

The source added that the people inside the city are not sure what the Turkish Army is trying to target as the population has been instructed to avoid military sites, but continue to be attacked nevertheless.

While there is a significant presence of personnel from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and People’s Protection Units (YPG), there is also a large number of humanitarian aid organizations that are operating inside the city to help the local and displaced population.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies from the National Defense Forces (NDF) are also present in Al-Qamishli, as the city itself is split between the government and Syrian Democratic Council (SDC).
