BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 A.M.) – The Turkish Army once again attacked the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the northwestern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate this weekend.

According to a report from the YPG, the Turkish Army fired several artillery shells and rockets towards their positions in the Afrin Canton, inflicting considerable damage on the towns of Qarah Baba and Jisr Hashrakeh.

Following the artillery and rocket barrage, the Turkish Armed Forces and YPG exchanged heavy gunfire at these towns; however, there was no word on the total number of casualties.

This latest attack by the Turkish military comes after their forces targeted the YPG-held towns of Deir Ballout, Burj Sleiman, Jundeires, and Iska in the Afrin Canton on early Saturday.
