Vladimir Putin will present the Russian Geographical Society’s award on December 7

On December 7, a ceremony for presenting the Russian Geographical Society’s award will be held in the Kremlin. It will be attended by Chairman of the RGS Board of Trustees Vladimir Putin. The President will present the award in one of the categories.

The winners of the RGS annual photo competition, The Most Beautiful Country, will also receive their awards during the ceremony.

The RGS award is a prestigious prize recognising achievement in the fields of national geography and environmental protection, as well as the preservation and promotion of the natural, historical and cultural heritage of Russia. It was established in 2016 and is awarded every other year.
